Q: Where is Edmonds?
Edmonds is located a short drive north of Seattle on the shores of the breathtaking Puget Sound.
It is located close to Everett Airport and Seattle-Tacoma Airport.
If you’ve come here looking for our regular wedding FAQ, you’ve come to the wrong place.
This post is all about how to get to Bellingen, where to stay, and how to navigate this adorable, sleepy little town that straddles the rainforest-shrouded mountains and the beautiful beaches.
We’re not going to mince words here. If you’ve not booked something in Bellingen yet, you might be shit out of luck.
We’re one of three weddings taking place in Bellingen over the long weekend, which means accommodation is at a premium on sites like Booking.com for our dates.
You may still have some luck with Airbnb, however, as several of our bridal party have picked up gorgeous places in and around Bellingen as recently as this week. If you’re booking on AirBnb, be sure to use this link to get a $37 credit towards your first stay.
Finally, you might want to cast a broader net to include nearby towns such as Coffs Harbour, Mylestom, and Urunga. You’ll just need to leave a little early for the wedding and get back a little late from the festivities.
If you’re flying in from interstate or abroad, you’ll be landing at Coffs Harbour Airport. The airport, while small, is serviced by affordable flights through local domestic carriers such as TigerAir, QantasLink, Virgin Australia, and FlyCorporate.
Coffs Harbour is also serviced by a daily train service from Sydney and Brisbane, as well as a number of bus connections.

Bellingen is a small town, but it has a great Bohemian environment that means you’ll find terrific coffee and delectable brunches at virtually every turn.
In addition to the amazing food at Cedar Bar (our venue), you’ll also find terrific Sunday brunches at Black Bear Cafe, The Fennel Seed, Old Butter Factory, Hearthfire Bakery, Hyde Bellingen, and The Purple Carrot.
Feeling a pub lunch? The Federal Hotel, Diggers Tavern, and Bellingen Brewing Company all have terrific pizzas, burgers, and other hearty fare.
We’re quietly confident that you’re not going to be hungry after the massive spread Cedar Bar is putting on for us, but we understand how excessive libations can lead to a little late-night gluttony.
We’ll be making sure everybody leaves with a little goodie bag of drunk snacks to tide them over, but we would also recommend stopping at the local IGA (grocery store) to grab some snacks and water for your hotel rooms.
As a small town, there isn’t much open late at night in Bellingen, but No 5 Church Street (located right next to our venue) stays open until late on both Friday and Saturday nights.
One of the reasons we chose Bellingen as our wedding venue was because we wanted a place that people could include as part of an Australian holiday, rather than some out of the way place with nothing to see or do.
Bellingen’s location halfway between Sydney and Brisbane makes it a great stop on an east coast road trip, with the beaches of nearby Coffs Harbour and the rainforests of Dorrigo National Park both being a huge selling point.
Bellingen itself offers up a hippie town with plenty of boutiques to browse, as well as canoe experiences on the Bellinger River. The nearby Promised Lands is a truly gorgeous place to do some hiking or take a dip in the ice-cold, crystal clear river water.

Q: Where is Bellingen?
Bellingen is a cute little hippie town located on the North Coast of NSW. It’s about halfway between Sydney and the Gold Coast.
To get there, you’ll take a one-hour flight from Sydney to Coffs Harbour. You can then drive or take public transport to Bellingen, which is approximately 20-minutes away.
